An Opportunity to Back Berkshire Cricket through a Sponsoring Partnership

Introduction

Berkshire Cricket Board is successful at providing cricket development for young cricketers. However, as the demand for cricket development has grown other sources of funds have to be found to meet that demand. In September 2005 the Berkshire Youth Cricket Development Trust (BYCDT) was created to be a focus for fundraising. The trustees are committed to raising funds to support cricket opportunities for all our young people throughout the County.

Objectives and purpose

The objectives and purpose of the Trust are to promote the education, physical development and well being of children and young people within Berkshire through cricket by providing facilities, training and equipment. The Trusts primary task is to raise funds to meet the costs of these facilities and programmes.

The Trust envisages working with and supporting the Berkshire County Cricket Youth Committee in identifying potential projects, programmes and needs. The continuing success of the Berkshire County Cricket Club relies upon its youth policy, which is to provide access to the game for all abilities at all levels and to produce young cricketers, capable of performing at the highest level of the game. In order to do this we need to provide facilities, access programmes and coaching opportunities, in which they can be developed.

How you can help

The Trust has started to raise funds through donations, charitable giving, legacy commitments and grants, many of which provide tax efficient ways of giving for those donating to its work.

You or the organisations you are involved with may wish to consider how they can support the work of the Trust through corporate giving, trusts, grants, gifts, legacies, tax exempt giving or fund raising events. If you believe you can help in any way or require further information, please contact the Treasurer, John Bolan on info@berkshirecrickettrust.org or telephone 07770 847446.
